My Cream of Asparagus Soup






2 lb fresh Asparagus
1 onion diced
1 carrot diced
1 turnip diced
1 stalk celery diced
1 parsnip diced
1 garlic clove chopped
Real bacon pieces 4oz bag
4 cup chicken broth
3/4 cream
4 pats butter
Lemon, salt, pepper to taste



First dice your veggies.  The asparagus leave about the first 1 1/2 inch tops set aside. Dice the remainder of the asparagus.  And veggies in the pot with the butter add the garlic as well, cook for about 8 min stiring.

Next add the chicken broth to pot. Simmer on low heat for about 1 hour.

Remove from heat and blend. Becareful cause it is hot.

Place back in pot with the top of the asparagus and bacon add about 2 cups water and simmer for 30 min


Next add cream mix well cook for about 3 min.

place some in a bowl squeeze fresh lemon juice on top salt and pepper
