My Amazing Pulled Pork

This is my prized Pulled Pork.  I kid you not this is hands down the best you will ever have.  People always ask for this,  and have wanted to know how I do it.  It melts in your mouth,  and you cant get enough of it.  The taste of smokey with a kick topped with my Cole slaw, tomato, and sauce you cant go wrong.   They will beg you for more.

MY amazing Pulled Pork

1 picnic pork shoulder roast with bone in it a must
2 packs McCormic bq pork season
1 large can of tomato sauce
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/3 cup honey
2 table spoon molasses
1 table spoon liquid smoke
3 table spoons smoked paprika
1 table spoon garlic powder
1 table spoon onion powder
2 tea spoons red pepper flakes
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
Dash of salt and pepper like maybe 1/4 teaspoon each

Mix tomato sauce, vinegar, McCormick season, 1 table spoon of smoked  paprika, 1/8 tea spoon cayenne pepper in a bowl place in fridge and let flavors combine.

Next take your remainder ingredients mix in bowl.  Rub the mix all over pork let it sit for about a hour or so.  The trick to making this is a slow cooking process you can do over open fire, or on the grill with a meat turner if you wish.  But I do mine in the oven.

I place my roast on a cooking rack inside a pan cover it lose with tin foil cook at 250 for about a hour, turn roast place back in oven for another 1 hour.

Pull roast out again and turn it again place back in oven but turn up heat to 300. cook for another hour at 300.

Pull pork out again turn it and place back in oven for another hour leaving temp at 300.
After the hour is up turn up oven to 375 cook for a hour.

Pull roast out test for how well meat will pull by taking a meat fork sticking it in to roast twist fork to see if meat pulls easy. By this time it should be starting to pull away from bone, if it does not place back in oven at 375 for about 45 min.

After that check meat again if it is pulling turn up heat to 400 place meat not  covered in oven for about 30 more min then pull from oven and let it set till you can touch meat with out burning your hands.Start pulling the meat off the bone break it up into small chucks and pieces,

Next take your sauce out of fridge

Take pulled pork place on a bun put some of the yummy sauce on your pork, with a spoon of Cole Slaw on top and enjoy.

optional toppings: tomato, jalapenos, pickles, sliced onion, lettuce, anything you want.

Total cook time about 7-8 hours

serves a crowd of maybe 10 people depending on how hungry your crowd is.
